What is snapshot?
Answer in brief
A saved copy of a sandbox’s filesystem — and sometimes its memory and running processes — that can be restored later.
Snapshot in agent sandboxes
Filesystem snapshots let you prepare an environment once (dependencies installed, repository cloned) and start new sandboxes from it. Memory snapshots go further and capture running processes, so a restored sandbox resumes exactly where it left off. Snapshots are the building block for pause/resume and forking.
